Family Training Days at CALSMA are the best days for both students and parents learn to train together. This is the only day the parents / guardians are allowed to train on the mat with their child.




The main goal of family training day is to provide an auxillary training and additional guidance if your child wants to train at home with you. Supplemental training is important most especially if your child wants to compete or truly excel in the sport.

Family Training Days will also provide a deeper understanding of taekwondo not only as a sport but also, a lifestyle.

During Family Training Days, you will learN:
- How to hold paddles correctly
- Safety during training at home
- Proper equipment / handling
- Proper stretching, warm up
- Flexibility training
- How to properly tie the belt
- Importance of learning martial arts
and most importantly, - Have FUN with your kids!
PREPARATION
When preparing for Family Training Day, here are some essential items to bring:
- Comfortable workout attire: Make sure everyone wears appropriate clothing that allows for movement, such as a t-shirt, sweatpants, or athletic shorts.
- Taekwondo uniform (dobok): If you and your family members have Taekwondo uniforms, you may choose wear them but it is not required.
- Water bottles: Stay hydrated! =)
- Towel: A small towel can come in handy for wiping off sweat.
- RSVP: Please make sure that you have reserved your spot as we have limited space available for this event!
- Positive attitude: Lastly, bring enthusiasm and a willingness to learn and have fun! Family training days are an excellent opportunity to bond and grow together as a family through martial arts!
