Being a part of the CALSMA Taekwondo Demo Team is not just competing tournaments and performances. All team members are expected to understand and continue to learn the true meaning of being a martial artist; it is a way of life that instills valuable qualities in themselves and those who surround them. Among these qualities are three key attributes that we expect each team member to always remember and uphold:
SERVICE
COMMITMENT
LEADERSHIP / ROLE-MODEL
2024 AAU Super Regional Champions
2023 CALSMA TAEKWONDO Demo Team | Three-Time Champions
2020 (MTM/CALSMA) Demo Team | Two-Time Champions
2019 (MTM/CALSMA) Demo Team | 1st Championship

SERVICE
Demo Team members are encouraged to serve others with humility and compassion. In the dojang, they often help newcomers, new students, patiently guiding them through the techniques, forms and understanding the rules and regulations. During special events, they are our frontline students to assist in the Dojang. This not only creates a sense of unity and fosters a strong sense of community among students, but also enhances the students’ personal growth and understanding of empathy, making them more well-rounded individuals.
COMMITMENT
Commitment is a fundamental aspect of the Demo Team’s taekwondo training. Students learn the importance of discipline, hard work, and perseverance. Each Demo Team member is expected to be available and ready to train for each class, training and mentoring. This commitment extends beyond physical training and includes mental and emotional fortitude to overcome challenges. This sense of commitment carries over to other areas of their lives, such as academics, careers, and relationships, making our Demo Team members reliable and dependable individuals.
LEADERSHIP / ROLE-MODEL
Leadership skills are instilled in our Demo Team members from the early stages of their training. In this role, they learn to be patient, understanding, and encouraging – setting a positive example to other CALSMA students.
Demo Team members also learn to lead by taking charge in various activities within their dojang. They assist in organized events, assist in teaching classes, and contribute their time during special events. These leadership experiences build confidence and teach effective communication, empowering students to become leaders not just in martial arts but in other spheres of life.
The combination of service, commitment, and leadership in our Demo Team students goes beyond physical and martial art skills. We hope to shape them into responsible, compassionate, and confident individuals who make positive impacts in their communities.

To become part of Demo Team is by invitation only. If you are interested in becoming a part of our Demo Team, please inform Master Jun. It takes months and sometimes years to be invited to audition. Be patient and always train to be better martial artists everyday.
