BELT TEST DAYS

The purpose of a Taekwondo belt test is to assess a student’s progress, skill development, and mastery of techniques learned at their current curriculum level.

Color Belts and Black Belt RANK tests are held every two months, giving students the flexibility to test regularly or skip a test. If a student misses a test, the next opportunity is just a few weeks away.

Black Belt DAN Tests are held every 6 months (approx June and December)

Each student who would like to test for the next belt level must meet the following:

*We have a belt tape system (“Progress Tape Requirement”) in place to determine whether or not the requirements listed above have been met. If the student has all the tapes listed below, then the student is ready to test.

PROGRESS TAPE REQUIREMENT

YELLOW= Poomsae Technique Attained

RED= Kicking/Breaking Techniques Attained

BLUE = Minimun Required Attendance Completed since the previous Belt Test

WHITE = 1 Life Coaching Session (for students who are under 18 years old)

Bonus Tape is GREEN (not required for testing)

Please note that the Time Slots to test are based on your CURRENT Belt Level

SKIP BELT TESTS:

Occasionally, certain students may have the opportunity to test for multiple belt levels—a practice that is uncommon but typically anticipated for newly enrolled individuals with prior training at another Dojang, especially if they enter with a belt level higher than white belt.

Skip belt tests must be pre-approved by Master Jun prior to registering to test.

If you are testing for more than one belt level, you must complete separate payments for EACH belt level.
